  • Hooks: Down-eyed wet fly sizes 6, 8, 10, 12
  • Tail: Golden pheasant tippet
  • Body: Flat silver sinsel
  • Rib: Fine round silver tinsel or wire
  • Hackle: Black hen hackle
  • Wing: Bronze mallard
  • Head: Black tying silk and clear varnish
  • Notes
    • A much-underrated pattern for seatrout. It contains a sombre wing and flashy body. One for the schoolies on a clear summer night.
    • With the addition of jungle cock cheeks, the fly becomes the Heggeli, A famous Scandinavian pattern that Norwegians use for all their game fish including Grayling, Trout, Seatrout and Salmon.
