Fishing Suspension Lifted (With Exceptions) – 20th August 2022

Firstly, thank you all for supporting our decisions to halt fishing during the multiple heat waves we have recently experienced. Temperatures have, thankfully, continued to drop, placing several of our waters back within safe limits for salmonids, however, our Wye beats are yet to hit 18°C.

As such, all waters are now open for fishing, with the exception of our Usk beat at Chaninbridge (which is still hitting 19°C on a daily basis) and both our Wye beats. These beats will remain closed until further notice. Again, we ask that all members take their own water temperature reading prior to fishing any of our waters. Where temperatures are 18°C or above, please cease fishing on that beat.

We would like to thank our bailiffs again for their continued support and ongoing submission of water temperatures.

As soon as temperatures on the Usk at Chainbridge/Wye drop to suitable and safe levels, a further update will follow.

In the meantime, any queries, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
