A very enjoyable day, learnt so much from the trout fishing stations. Felt like a little information overload but the leaflet we were issued with had the salient points.

Brushed up on some single handed fly casting  and the hog roast was delicious.

Just a brief note to thank all those of you that attended the Open Day and enjoyed the hog roast.

The event appears to have been a great success and a credit to the club. We fed over 140 visitors.

These events can only happen with the support of members and those guides/coaches that do so much for the club for no reward other than the satisfaction of seeing the smiles of those kids and adults alike that enjoyed their help.

    Thanks to all involved

A really good day and was inspired by Paul Slaney to make a start on tying flies which I’ve been meaning to do for a while – thanks Paul! Really good down on the river with some good tips on the salmon fishing stand and Dave Collins with plenty of interesting observations on the flies of the river Usk. Thanks to all involved!
